It is becoming more and more popular for couples to separate the legal marriage of registration or civil partnership from their wedding or partnership ceremony to allow them freedom of choice when creating a ceremony for their special day.

 

Most find that opting for a registry office legal simple ceremony and then a personally created ceremony in a beautiful or special location is a more attractive option.

 

Ceremonies can also include some more traditional unity ceremonies, such as Jump the Broom, Handfasting, Unity Candle or a Sand Ceremony. These represent the joining of 2 people and becoming one together, blessed with luck. Witnesses may be offered to sign a commemorative wedding certificate to make the day even more memorable.

 

My aim is to offer you a day to remember, a day created by you for you, whatever that may include. Our initial meeting is free of charge and a good way to get to know each other and see if we can make a magical day happen.

 

Commitment Ceremony

 

A commitment ceremony is a ceremony without the legal bit. It provides a ceremony of your design and the opportunity to share your unity with loved ones; vows, rings, readings, blessings, poems, and music are just some of the options available to you.

 

By choosing to work with a skilled celebrant you will receive support and guidance to suit your needs. I can write blessings, vows, and readings for you or you may choose to write your own, whatever makes the perfect day for you.

 

Vow Renewals

 

A joyful ceremony in which you remember your initial promises to each other and recommit to one another. This allows you to reflect on your time together and embrace the future.

In a similar way to the Commitment Ceremony, it can include a variety of elements from the exchange of rings, to Jump the Broom and so on. It’s your choice.
